Defense Checklist
Students must notify the Graduate Administrator in 004 Fisher Hall at least
3 weeks before the chosen defense date with the names of their three advisors,
the name of the fourth faculty member who will attend the defense,
the date and time they plan to defend.
To be submitted by students 2 weeks before defense date:
Most forms are available on the economics department web site.
- Advanced Degree Application (to be submitted online 2 weeks before defense date)
- Request to Hold a Final Public Oral Exam (filled out online, printed and submitted to Graduate Administrator)
- Exit Questionnaire (must be filled out online)
- Title Page (2 copies to Graduate Administrator)
- Abstract (2 copies to Graduate Administrator)
To be submitted to 004 Fisher Hall by students 1 week before defense date:
- Two BOUND copies of your dissertation plus pdf version burned on a CD
Upon approval of FPO the Graduate School will send the following forms to the department, at least 3 days before the defense date, for the student to complete. These forms are due to 004 Fisher Hall on the defense day.
